HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION OF TOBYHANNA TOWNSHIP

Speaker: Rick Bodenschatz — “Tobyhanna Township Local History Trivia Game”
Immediate-Past President Rick Bodenschatz opened the meeting at 6:33 p.m. by welcoming both members and guests.
Rick then led the attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The September meeting and Annual Dinner were announced, for Wednesday, September 11. The speaker will be Dr. Lawrence Squeri, who will present “The Poconos: Pennsylvania's Vacationland Through History.”
President Kris Avery then informed the members of the upcoming board elections at the September meeting, and the slate of nominees. Nominated were Pat Quigley for director and Jerry Hanna for treasurer. She informed the members that the board as a whole acted as the nominating committee.
Rick then opened the evening’s trivia game. The attendees were challenged with almost 100 questions about our local history. Most were answered correctly. The questions covered people, places, events, organizations, schools and churches.
We all had a lot of fun, and learned some things along the way.
At the conclusion of trivia night, the meeting was adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
